Is é atá i gceist le culaith scoile Ghaelcholáiste Chiarraí ná:
- Geansaí oifigiúil na scoile
- Carbhat oifigiúil na scoile

- Sciorta/Bristí liath*
- Riteoga dubha gan patrún (más cuí)
- Bróga dubha iomláin ísle (Ba cheart gnáth bhróga dubha a chaitheamh i gcónaí - níl buataisí ceadaithe. Caithfidh siad bheith go h-iomlán dubh. Déantús uachtar leathair agus sál tiubh.)
Tá sciorta scoile ar leith riachtanach: Hunter, pléata dúbailte chun tosaigh, (stíl T18/DP2), ar fáil i siopa Dan Fitzgerald, Trá Lí. Caithfidh an sciorta a bheith thíos go lár na glúine.
Tá Geansaí oifigiúil na scoile agus carbhat na scoile ar fáil i siopa Sean Hussey, Sráid an Ághasaigh, Trá Lí.
*Má ceannaítear léine, sciorta nó bríste ó siopa eile déan cinnte gurb don stíl, dath agus caighdeán ceanna leis na chinn atá á dhíol sna siopaí thuas luaite.
Éide d’am spóirt/corpoideachas
- Caithfear bríste culaith spóirt nó bríste gearr scaoilte a chaitheamh.
- Caithfear t-léine nó geansaí reatha le muinchille a chaitheamh.
- Ba cheart bróga spóirt agus/nó bróga páirce atá glan, slachtmhar agus sábháilte a chaitheamh.
- Ní mór údaráis na scoile agus an mhúinteoir i bhfeighil corpoideachas/spóirt a shásamh maidir le h-oiriúnacht an h-éadaí d’am spóirt.
- Ní ceart aon seodra a chaitheamh ag am spóirt/corpoideachas/cluichí i.e. fáinní cluaise, bráisléid ná slabhraí-muineál. Is ceist sláinte agus sábháilteachta é seo.
Ba chóir aird ar leith a thabhairt ar na pointí seo a leanas
- Ba cheart go mbeadh gach páirt den éide scoile néata, glan agus slachtmhar i gcónaí.
- Ba cheart go mbeadh an sciorta síos go dtí lár na glúine agus gan aon leasú air.
- Ní cheart d’aon chuid den éide scoile a bheith stróicthe ná pollta i.e. muineál, bóna, cufaí, uillinn, uamanna agus fáithim (bun) an bhríste nó sciorta.
- Ba cheart snaidhm an charbhait a bheith le feiscint go soiléir ós cionn V an gheansaí.
- Ba cheart don dara chnap ó bharr an léine a bheith iata.
- Ba choir léine agus veist a bheith curtha taobh istigh den bhríste nó sciorta agus gan iad a bheith ag gobadh amach.
- Is féidir veist/t-léine a chaitheamh faoin éide scoile, ach í a bheith dofheicthe.
- Ceadófar do dhaltaí éadaí d’am spóirt/corpoideachais ar na laethanta go bhfuil corpoideachas ar an dtráthchlár acu.
- Níl sé ceadaithe bríste gearr a chaitheamh timpeall na scoile.

School Uniform
The school uniform consists of
- The official school black jumper with the school crest
- The official school tie
- Grey shirt*
- Grey skirt or trousers*
- Plain Black tights (as appropriate)
- Fully black flat shoes (Ordinary black shoes must be worn at all times – boots are not permitted. They must be wholly blackin colour. These shoes should have leather uppers and good hardwearing soles.)
A specific school skirt is required: Hunter, front double pleat, style T18/DP2, available in Dan Fitzgerald’s shop Tralee. The skirt length must be to the middle of the knee.
The school jumper with the school crest and the school tie are available in Sean Hussey’s, Ashe Street, Tralee.
*Shirts, skirts or trousers purchased from other shops must be of the same style, colour and quality as those available from the above listed shops.
Guidance on attire for PE
- A tracksuit leggings or loose fitting short must be worn.
- A t-shirt or jersey/sweatshirt with sleeves must be worn.
- Neat, clean and safe runners and / or outdoor boots must be worn.
- The suitability of the attire being worn must be to the satisfaction of the school authorities and the teacher in charge.
- No jewellery to be worn at games i.e. earrings, bracelets and neck-chains. This is a health and safety issue.
The following expectations should be noted
- All parts of the school uniform should be neat, clean and tidy at all times.
- The skirt length must be to the middle of the knee.
- No part of the uniform should be torn or holed i.e. Neck, cuffs, elbows, seams or ends of trousers or skirt.
- Tie knot should be clearly visible above the V of the jumper.
- The second button from top of shirt should be fastened.
- Shirts and vests should be tucked into trousers or skirts and not left hanging out.
- T-shirts or vests may be worn under the school shirt but should not be visible.
- Students are permitted to wear attire for PE on the day which they have PE timetabled.
- The wearing of shorts outside of PE/Sports is not permitted.
Hairstyle, the wearing of jewellery etc. must be to the satisfaction of the Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí authorities. Refer to the School Uniform and Appearance Policy available on the school website.
